Rinse under cool running water or wipe with a damp cloth — peridot is generally water-safe
Place in sunlight — peridot is one of the few gems formed in the Earth's mantle and brought to the surface by volcanic activity; it loves solar energy.
Mohs 6.5-7 — moderately durable. Avoid harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, and sudden temperature changes. Some peridot is fragile in thin sections.
